Mrs. Willms Awesome Award

This award is a special award for our school community.  It is in honour and recognition of Mrs. Margaretrose Willms and the significant contributions she made to our St. Francis School during her time as Principal, our Red Deer Catholic Division and the impact she had on the numerous students throughout her years of service.

We have titled this award the “Awesome” award as Mrs. Willms challenged each and every student and staff member to be this.  In their interactions with others, in their dedication to school, in their extracurricular activities and most importantly, in their faith.  In her eyes, all students had the potential to be awesome and she worked hard to ensure that everyone had the opportunity to display their awesomeness throughout their time in school.

One Grade 9 student is chosen for this award. This is a student whose leadership contributions exemplify the Gospel Values of our Catholic Faith through their actions, participation and attitude.  This student’s leadership goes beyond their Grade 9 classmates and impacts the entire school community.  Sharing their faith, gifts and talents with joy and love.

This student will receive a gift card and an individual plaque as well as have their name added to the school plaque.
